SIF Consumer - "Simplicity": SIF Framework does not provide a mechanism for onboarding SIF consumers for the first time. This is a basic requirement of any implementation and should be part of the 'support'.
SIF consumer applications on-boarding – The demo setup has pre-defined entries being created via fixed files or database entries and there is no mechanism for SIF frameworks to actually on board SIF consumers for the first instance. In our discussions it’s become quite evident that this needs to be done via external application but it seems odd that the framework would not provide mechanism to do so. Compounded with lack of documentation around the database entries, its pure guesswork to design a SIF consumer on boarding process and ensure that it will work

@kunalyadavdfe The SIF Framework is a starting point (ie Starter Kit) for building an SIF implementation, On Boarding normally has very specific requirement like integration with external systems or unique business rules so a complete On Boarding system wouldn't fit every purpose and would be seen as being out of scope of the framework.
What would be in scope of the Framework would be to improve the current functionality to support more complete use cases eg
Setup a Consumer with an Environment with These permissions.
@kunalyadavdfe What use cases would you like better support for?
As mentioned by @iantasker , providing an On Boarding mechanism is not within scope of the SIF Framework. The demo projects provide example set-ups that can be used as a basis for On Boarding. The demo projects could be extended to support more use cases, but this is probably considered low priority at this point. In the long term, an Administrative Tool can be provided to support SIF Administrators with environment configuration (and user registration). In the medium term (February to March 2017), documentation will be enhanced to better explain the database design and steps for configuring an Environment for use.
