Describe the feature

Problem: Before opening a new issue, people have to manually check many old issues. This takes time and still causes duplicate issues.

How: Use a GitHub bot and a simple GitHub Action to automatically check new issues and show similar existing ones.

Impact: Duplicate issues get clearly marked, so maintainers don’t have to spend extra time checking or replying again.

Notes: The system will only suggest duplicates and will not auto-close any issue.

I don't think this is a strong issue. Duplicate issue can already be avoided by using Github`s built-in search and templates. A bot may not meaningfully reduce duplicates and could increase maintenance overhead.

See in other repos I have implemented this Idea and maintainers are really happy with this idea, because no body ,searches for issues before creating new ones.

I’m not a maintainer — was just giving early feedback as a contributor.
Fair point about people not searching before opening issues. If this has worked well in other repos, it could definitely help here too.
