webfonts

The web was how I got into computers, and what I trend back towards whenever I'm inspired to create. As a lifelong writer, most of my concerns around websites revolve around accessibility. I try to keep layouts as simple as possible, and since text is the primary content of the internet, I focus first on legibile typography.

I discovered the Atkinson Hyperlegible Font and decided I wanted to use it on future websites. Although it can be used through Google Fonts, I wanted a better understanding of how to add fonts directly to a website. The code within doesn't concern itself with any particular web font loading strategy as I try to understand one problem at a time.

This Mozilla Developer Network article on @font-face should tell you everything you need to know (Though I originally read about it on some random article I've forgotten): I don't actually know if the local arguments I've given work the way I expect them to for the relevant use cases, but even if they don't, everything else works following my intention.
