This project aims to develop a low cost and highly scalable IEEE 802.11 based WiFi mesh network for low power Internet of Things (IoT) devices. The designed mesh network architecture will be implemented as a software library for ESP8266 chip. Criteria such as speed, ease of use, cost, stability, compatibility with legacy devices, packet loss percentage, and network throughput will be considered while designing the mesh network.
