Let's add language to Join TTS about accommodations. This content will:

  • Help individuals with disabilities understand what to expect from the hiring process
  • Signal to individuals with disabilities that TTS is ready and willing to provide accommodations

Kicking off this conversation / collaboration with the doc - JoinTTS: Accommodations (Currently, viewable through GSA only 👀)

The next step, I think, is getting clarifications on legal issues on accommodations:

  1. Who do we talk about this?
  2. Is there anything that we need to keep in mind when creating content?

We can start with the Who to contact in the Deaf/HoH resources.

Update: Lack of time/bandwidth got to us, but there is a document, Disability (or accessibility?) at TTS 🔒 drafted in the #wg-tts-hiring channel. This doc is for the TTS Handbook; however, there might be some content to reuse for the JoinTTS website.

After the document is live, we should check back here.
